I agree with what anmiller said. Actors leaving the SD is like you leaving work, so they may not always be having a good day. Anyways, I saw the tour, and loved it so much I tried to see it again before it left Chicago. It was really a lot of fun and really energetic. I have not seen the Broadway company, but have heard that they're also good...maybe not the best there's been but good. (Some in the cast are amazing!) But I think you would enjoy it either way. there's no one way to be a grown-up. maybe Patti isn't like every other grown-up and takes "compliments" differently, instead of saying thank you, she speaks her mind. Well all the tours that come through Chicago use Playbill-brand-Playbills. Like actual color playbills. But hat may be different depending on the city. I did some searching and found that this is the Stage Door address: 555 Commerce Street http://www.basshall.com/thehalltech.jsp And the website says it requires artists to use this door, so I guess if you wait you have a good chance of meeting them.

Steppenwolf here in Chicago is pretty amazing...August was just one of the many new, great works they produce.

I agree with Scott that Cirque's artistic and financial success are sure to have other companies trying to mimic them[Cirque Dreams, Viaggio,etc]. But if the costumes, design, and overall production are THAT similar to Cirques actual shows, they should definitely look into that..with a legal team... PS Viaggio...I thought it said "Viagra: The Cirque Show" I was like..what??? haha

Regarding Dance:10 Looks:3, In "What They Did For Love" they talked about how before, when the song was called "Tits and Ass," it just wasn't getting many laughs. So the producer (or director?) decided one night to go sit in the audience, and watching people read the song list in the Playbill, realized why there were few laughs: the audience knew the "punch line" already. I don't know if you can find this anywhere anymore, but I got it at a local library- "What They Did for Love: The Untold Story Behind the Making of "A Chorus Line." Sad, happy, heartwarming, heartbreaking, and everything in between.I appreciate ACL a lot more knowing how much of their lives the original cast put into the show. no..Wicked definitely has the best lyrics ever written. It goes along perfectly with the best book and storyline ever written. i mean, once you look over the bad rhymes and plot holes, I'd say it was robbed at the Tony's! :)
