They really changed nothing else, but the school is so scared of doing anything with "lesbian conotations." The song didn't make sense, but hey...as long as there are two heterosexual couples.
as weird as it sounds, they ARE making either a JR or a school edition of Avenue Q. i know one of the people working on it... why, i dunno. hahaha I dont know HOW that will wind up working out, considering the majority of the songs will be cut, bleeped, or changed to "the internet is for homework"... which is not entirely its purpose. :-p
"Oh, and how could I forget "Naked Boys Singing, Jr."? Sure to be a big hit on the middle school circuit."
Or those creeps on Dateline NBC - you know the internet perves.
Highschool RENT? Wouldn't they have to get rid of the entire concept of the show? Take out Angel, take out Collins, Take out Maureen and Joanne, take out the orgy scene, take out the fact that Mimi's a stripper and does drugs...
The school version of Rent has had its second workshop, this time at Stagedoor Manor. It's an ongoing project for MTI, and not as much has been changed as some of you might expect.
I think the idea of a RENT,jr. version is just insane. Why won't Jonathan Larson's parents step and tell them not to make it. The entire show will be lost. They've already disgraced the show with the sh*tty movie.
