MTI's Licensed version of SO MUCH BETTER...What key is it?
#1MTI's Licensed version of SO MUCH BETTER...What key is it?
Posted: 6/21/11 at 10:59pmThere are two widely used keys of the song "So Much Better", and I'm wondering which key MTI uses for its licensed productions. Is it the original or the lowered one? THANKS to anyone who can help!

Posted: 6/22/11 at 6:20pmAs a pit musician, I always laugh that MTI has the transpositions available - I've yet to play a show where any producer has bothered to get them.

Posted: 6/23/11 at 1:07pmDoing the show right now at Gateway Playhouse (pit musician, not actor). I think that's the only song that's not in the same key as the recording; it was recorded in G, but the sheet music is in G-flat. I don't have the score in front of me, but I THINK that's correct. I'm on my way to the matinee right now so I'll double check, but I'm 99% sure it's the lower one. All these damn modulations all blend into one after a while...
