Julia would be amazing as dot and she has said in interviews that it is her "dream" role.

As someone who got to witness the brillance that was Audra's Dot at Ravinia, I have to say that I would love to see her do the role again because she was (as she always is) amazing! I think Jennifer Laura Thompson or Toni would be great as well.

It would be a great pity if New York did not get a chance to see this. Given Sondheim's support and obvious enthusiasm for the project - which was pretty evident at the public events that he's been attending over the past few days in London - and the unusual involvement of a number of US producers, Boyett, OSTAR and James Hammerstein productions, I'd have thought that it was a good bet.

A SITPWG revival would completely rule my life. And I don't know about Michael... he may be wrong for the role, but he is amazing... I know I'd see that production!!!

I actually can really see JLT as dot.

It would give her a chance to show her comedic and dramatic skills, also her wonderful voice. I really wish that could happen.

I realllly hope this transfers.

and ahhh, what about Ruthie Henshall as Dot? Or she getting up there in age too for this role? I can see her in so much Sondheim. I think she'd be an amazing Fosca. And in several years a killer Mrs. Lovett.

Raul was amazing as George (particularly in the second act), but as other people have pointed out, he might still be busy with Company and/or wanting to do something different. Other people that I've imagined would be interesting in the role are Manoel Felciano and Neil Patrick Harris.

Audra seems a teeny bit too soprano to play Dot, though acting-wise she'd be great), and I don't see Julia Murney as having the warmth the role requires.

Ruthie Henshall would be an AMAZING Dot. How old is she now?
