I'm going to New York tomorrow for the first time for the parade. Mostly, I'm interested in seeing the Broadway performances. I know what shows will be performing, but where would I go to see the performances? And when?

They're in Herald Square (by Macy's) between 9 and 10 (basically done to kill time in the telecast for the parade to get down to Macy's).

"What about CBS? "
The CBS performances are pre-recorded.
Just a warning, you most likely will not be able to get into Herald Square to see the performances...most of the people that stand there know someone who works for Macy's or something along those lines I think.

That is true. In order to get in the bleachers in Herald Square for the Broadway performances you have to know someone pretty high up. It is basically a VIP area. Keep in mind that not just the Broadway performances at the parade, but any performance by any musical group, is pre recorded with the audio. This is because the TV cameras would have a hard time picking up the sound if it is them just singing live.
Also, I am not sure what else CBS does during the parade other then the Broadway shows, since I thought that there was an exclusive contract between Macy's and NBC that NBC would be the official telecast of the parade.

Thanks bway1261. I guess I meant to ask if anyone knows what time the shows will perform on CBS. I think if I remember, they're scattered throughout CBS's telecast. Just wish I knew times.
