Can Someone Explain Rush to Me

Jul 25, 2012 — 12:00:49 AM

When I rushed Porgy & Bess, I was able to get a great ticket in row F of the orchestra twenty minutes before curtain for a Sunday matinee a few weeks ago. If things haven't changed (and I assume they haven't, considering this was right after Audra returned from vocal rest), then there's probably no need to show up too early for that one.

Priscilla Front Row Mezz?

Oct 20, 2011 — 6:21:42 AM

Thank you all so much for your help. I just bought the seat in the front row of the mezzanine. I'm going to add one more question. I would like to see Follies, too, and I'm considering the front row of the orchestra. Is the stage high? Thanks again.

Priscilla Front Row Mezz/Follies Front Row Orch?

Oct 19, 2011 — 6:32:55 PM

Hi. I'm planning a trip to New York and I would like to see Priscilla. I was considering purchasing seats in the front row of the mezzanine, but I was wondering if the view from the front row is obstructed by the safety rail. My other option is row F of the orchestra. I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance. EDIT: I would also like to see Follies. How is the front row of the orchestra?

I've sat in the last row of the mezzanine and I thought it was fine. It didn't feel too far away to me. With that said, I'm sure the first three rows offer a great view.

St. Jimmy Balcony

I would not sit in the balcony. But, if it's all you can afford, try not to get seats in the first couple rows. In Row A you will not be able to see the front of the stage, unless you are pretty tall.

Dreamgirls was at Heinz Hall this season. If you click on the link for Hair, it will change to Heinz Hall. Also, in the preview video, it says the show will be at Heinz Hall. This article in the Post-Gazette confirms this, too. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10066/1040349-325.stm
