Posted: 2/21/05 at 7:39pmI rememer Carole saying that they wanted her to look like Queen Elizabeth I, gone completly bazar.
re: Madame Morrible#3
Posted: 2/21/05 at 7:41pmIn the book, its mentioned that she looks like a fish. And they accomplish just that with the lighting in Defying Gravity

In the book Madame Morrible was described as looking like a fish (if I remember correctly).
I read it awhile back, so it's possible that I'm mixing up the characters, so if I'm wrong, PLEASE don't yell at me and tell me that I'm a horrible person for making a little mistake.

re: Madame Morrible#9
Posted: 2/22/05 at 11:36amApr. 17 is the current date I believe for George Hearn, Jennifer Laura Thompson, and Carole Shelley to leave.

Posted: 2/22/05 at 11:58amWait, so who's gonna play the wizard from when George Hearn leaves to when Ben Vereen comes? I have tickets for late April so just curious. But I will very much miss Carole, she was GREAT in the role.
re: Madame Morrible#12
Posted: 2/22/05 at 12:00pmI was wondering that as I was typing my last post.
re: Madame Morrible#14
Posted: 2/22/05 at 12:04pmWould that be Sean McCourt? I saw him once and really liked him in the role, I would have no problem if he got to play the role regularly, even for a short time.

Posted: 2/22/05 at 12:18pmSean McCourt played The Wizard for a while before George Hearn stepped in, so it wouldn't be a surprise. And according to what I've heard he was really good.

Posted: 2/22/05 at 1:31pmYes. I've seen him do the role twice. He was very good both times

Carole (and George Hearn) are leaving in May. JLT is scheduled to leave in April, but might (hopefully) extend so the trio can exit together.
I'll miss seeing Carole in Wicked, but hopefully she'll take a well-deserved vacation and come back in a new show with an even better role.
I, too, heart Carole - BIG TIME! She's a great and gracious lady.

JLT had BETTER leave April 17th!
I bought tickets specifically so I could see her last performance - don't get me wrong, I LOVE JLT, but I'm ready to see someone new and a last performance is always so special.

So has the departure date for Hearn and Shelley been changed so that they leave the week before Ben Vereen steps in? Or will someone take over in between?

Are carole and george old friends are something?
I'm gonna feel stupid if they are married lol....
oh well...why should today be different than any other day?

I thought Sean McCourt was the greatest Wizard of the three I've seen (he, and the other two being Joel Grey and George Hearn).
I don't really care about JLT's last day, but I would like to attend Carole's if anyone does find out the correct departure date. :)
re: Madame Morrible#23
Posted: 2/22/05 at 6:15pmI was mistaken when I said Gina Gershon, I meant to say Michael Crawford. Atleast he wouldn't need any makeup.
re: Madame Morrible#24
Posted: 2/22/05 at 6:38pmAlthough I have a ticket for JLT's last day, I would be thrilled for her to extend her contract!
