Saw yesterday's mat show of The Wedding Singer...these producers were smoking crack not to have given this role to Tina Maddigan...I meen a big huge bowl filled with some wild funky reefer.
So if they have a brain on them now they would get this show reviewed and get Maddigan and Lynch out all over town.They were so****'en good togther...I am now calling fans of broadway's new couple MaddieLynch Lovers. Their comic timming was bang on, they sounded like rock stars on If I Told You, and they just made the show a romantic fun loving comedy.If the tag line of your show is Love is what we do...then spread the love with these to.They were amazing.
The rest of the show was great, the cast as always was so good. David Josefsberg was on for Sammy and he was very funny, great voice and can really pull off a mullet! I know there are alot of Wedding singer threads out there but I can not urge you enough to go out and see the the show again the way it SHOULD been seen from the start,with this leading couple. Let the MaddieLynch lovers take over..and not just the first two rows!!!

they ARE adorable together :) and I bet their chemistry's gotten even better since I saw the show about a month and a half ago, because tina's been on so much more now. And I thoroughly enjoy how tina is like so OBVIOUSLY into him. its SO cute! haha. I mean, stephen obvious has a blast with her too, but tina's just adorable with him

That said, I'm still a true and complete Lynch/Benanti fan. hehe. NO one will be able to match the chemistry they had. Him and Tina come quite CLOSE, but still- Lynch/Benanti all the way haha
sigh.. *misses Laura, even though I like Tina a LOT*

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

I am sure alot of the Laura fans miss her as well, and I hope that she get better soon, but SNL I can not see how you think they Laura and Steven were a better match, she seemed so cold and looked like his aunt not someone he would date..but then again to each his own...MaddieLynch Lover's sign here!!!

Odd...I always found Laura and Stephen to have incredible onstage chemistry, whereas Tina and Stephen fell flat for me. Every time I saw Laura and Stephen, as far as I could tell they were genuinely enjoying being on that stage together (and not in an "I'm your aunt" kind of way, in a "let's make out" kind of way...:) ). I just didn't get that with Tina up there.

Then again, I saw Tina in early June and she probably hadn't had time to grow in the role. Maybe.

Tina has grown into the role a lot. The chemistry between her and Stephen has gotten so much better.

Laura and Stephen also ahve incredible chemistry, though.

tina and stephen all the way. they have amazingly good chemistry. plus tina plays the role in a more sweet way a la drew barrymore in the movie, which makes me love her so much more. and tina is the kindest person you will ever meet at the stage door. so whats there not to love?

JUNE....please...GO BACK...and then tell me what you think of MADDIE AND LYNCH..Tina really started to get a crack at this role after the Tony awards then the ball just kept rolling..Laura and Lynch had 8months to find there grove...I asked Tina yesterday how many times she has been on for the role of Julia...she said todays show was my 50th...after 50 shows...Maddie and Lynch ...got their GROVE !!

I think Stephen Lynch is an incredible performer doing an incredible job in The Wedding Singer, and he has great chemistry with WHOEVER plays the role because it's part of that great acting job.

Yes, Tina has gotten more comfortable in the role. In her early days of going on, she seemed like she was trying to overcompensate for being the standby. Now, she realize's that she's on "indefinately" (that's what she said at the stage door). She's become much more at ease and it shows. She's got the greatest memory, too. I've seen plenty of shows more than once. Never have I met an actor who will freely come up to me like their my long lost friend.

The matinee crowd was great yesterday. The place was PACKED.

i'm hoping that tina is still in when constantine(*shudder*) joins the cast- since i have a strong inkling that the show will get re-reviewed at that time

Saw the show last night for my first time front row, it was amazing. Tina and Stephen are great together, and David is an awesome sammy.

I love Tina.

But, I'm married to Laura.

She is the perfect Julia to me. Acting/singing and chemistry wise it's all there.

But, if she's out...Tina's the best replacement.

Great review fanohmight! Tina's replaced Joe Machota with Stephen Lynch in the chemistry department. How could you not help but fall in love with the girl with golden hair. SHE truly IS Julia in every sense of the character.
