I know its a wierd time to ask but how did they do the Witch transformation in Into the woods and how does the Phantom disapear in the throne? I only half know how they work. Can anyone answer these questions?

I searched but didnt find ANYTHING.
as far as phantom goes there used to be a website ... The Phantom of the Opera Appreciation Site which explained in great detail how each trick is accomplished both on Broadway and in national tours and also listed which bits were pre-recorded. When I was in Into the Woods,
the witch (understudy) was the body double
and like in the original, the double's face was turned away from the audience.
The effect in the revival (raising the Witch in the air) was actually really neat, I thought.
It worked much better than having the Witch run behind a tree and come out again.
