Posted: 1/17/09 at 4:06pmI am sooooo bad at finding monologues. I need a short monologue for a unified audition and I have no idea where to look! I don't even know where to start looking. Any ideas for a short monologue for a male? Any at all!?

Contemporary? Shakespearean? Comedic? Dramatic? Crude? 15 year old? 30 year old? Any particular ethnicity, accent, preferences?

It's basically entirely spoken by one male character so there are tons of monologues.

Well, to answer your questions, Weez:
White, male, 20's, comedic OR dramatic, preferably a character monologue. I'm good at the quirky, awkward, character types (and seeing how it's an audition for mainly summer stocks, I'm sure they want to see upbeat, light-hearted things), And nothing Shakespearean.
