Anyone seen this yet? It just came on during Today and I think it's new. It uses a lot of the same clips from the previous ad, but has them in polaroid frames, being laid into a scrapbook. For example, on the first page a picture of Donna is put down with "MOM" written on the bottom. Then pictures of the 3 dads and Sophie are put down and "3 possible dads" is written on the page. On the last page, 2 tickets (fake, because they have the logo on them, not just the generic Shubert background) are thrown down and, of course, you're told to go buy tickets for "the best time on B'way" or something like that. At the beginning and end, the cover of the album also comes up and down like a curtain.

I'm sure everyone here hates Mamma Mia, and no one will refrain from telling me if this has already been dicussed (yes, I did search first), but I thought it was clever and miles better than the last commercial.

I've seen it in passing quite a few times over the past month.

It's definitely not the current cast (besides Carolee) and I'm trying to figure out if the late Daniel McDonald is included in the ad (I believe he was in the last one).

Mamma Mia is totally a guilty pleasure of mine. I think it's a great example of a jukebox musical. I only wish they had an OBC cause I HATE the London recording. It sounds horrible.

I agree about the recording. The OBC was so good! They really got some wonderful talent.

I also agree about the guilty pleasure. There are plenty of people on here up on their high horses about "art" but I have no problem with both artistic, deep shows and fun guilty pleasures! I feel the same way about books, TV, and movies. A serious, message-driven piece is great, but we can have fun too!

Expect a whole over-saturation of all things MAMMA MIA! one year from now when the film-version comes out: July 2008!

I hope (though doubt) it's no like the whole Hairspray thing, with endless little bits and pieces released endlessly. I've been avoiding the clips. I don't want to see the movie in pieces before I see it all together!
