Mamma Mia! New Bway Cast Any Reviews?

I'm dying to know too!

So i went to see the 1st show of the new cast and all i cans say is FANTASIC!!! they finally cast a legit group of actors in this show. Carey Anderson plays Sophie brilliantly. her timing matches her voice and personality to a T. Husband and wife Pawk and Dosset are equally amazing. John works his music so flawlessly that it was just great. Michelle has a gift for timing. i will say this about her, she is an actor before a singer... her voice is great 1st act strong, perky and silly. 2nd act was a bit a struggle but I do believe that she will be amazing in a few weeks. Her Winner takes it all was good but im sure it will be better. Olga the new rosie is also great. The three dynamos have added several new twists that really are AMAZING!!!!! to me this is the best overall cast that bway has seen. She is the best actress (pawk) in the role of donna ever cast and if you now me i LOVE Dee Hoty and Monique Lund. Her voice will improve for the part but the role does not call for a STRONNG belter, it calls for power and a demand for attention and that she and the new cast gets.
Best of luck to EVERYONE in the cast. For all the former Mia's you were are brilliant and made a great pathway for this new cast to dance and jive in...
also in the end at the mega mix they all just seem to have fun. at waterloo most had seem not even care about the moves just go at it and have fun. at the end john bent over and just laid the biggest kiss on his wife as to say " honey, we did it" it was a thrilling moment for them and a treat for us...

i felt thast carolee was GREAT but did not fit donna at all. I thing she really is amazing. saw her in urinetown and was BLOWN away by her but she just did not fit a donna to me at all...they are both booked for 1 year

The new Sky is actually very good - I liked his voice and he acted the part well.

My take on the new cast (saw the very first performance, with Here_I_Go_Again ) -

* Carey Anderson is wonderful - I absolutely adored her!! She has a great voice and she acts the part so well - the best I've seen since Tina Maddigan!!! I was so impressed with her. Really want to see her again.
* John Dossett is also wonderful - I loved his voice and I was actually, for once, not bored during his solo! I also liked his take on the role- very realistic, down to earth. Loved him.
* Michele Pawk - all in all, thought she was great, but I must admit she needs more work....She is definitely not a belter and even though she has a good voice, she struggled with some of the songs (notably Winner and SOS, which were...not amazing). She has to get used to the pop songs, I think - she's more clasically trained. However, I did love, love, love her acting and thought it was wonderful. She has a lovely, deep speaking voice (which immediately made me pine for Louise Pitre LOL)and she is better in the slower songs.
It's hard for me to have a clear verdict, because even though I really did love her performance, she was a bit lacking in the singing department...but it was her first performance...So I don't know. It is definitely worth seeing though. Oh and omg, the chemistry between her and her husband is electrifying!! They are SO adorable together.
