I may try to see this while it's still at the DuPont..maybe not.
^^
Did they come out the regular DuPont stagedoor -- ie the entrance/exit for everyone else?! Or did they go out the street way (Linda Eder / Michael Fienstein both left out the street hmm -- which Mandy seems to have politely lifted the title of their show: "An Evening With..." (unless it's been used before - I don't see many touring cabarets/in general)).
Have fun to everyone whose going to the DuPont - BEAUTIFUL theatre (+ Hotel!).
If this tour is the material they did at the Prince...Run To See them
Dame & PJ, I held my breath too, having seen them individually in solo concerts and really not too impressed with either presentation, (especially Mandy). But they are pure MAGIC together. The material is well chosen and memorable and their chemistry is heart warming.
ENJOY!
BWW review: Patty & Mandy @ the Prince
I saw them this past Wednesday evening and it was a memorable experience!
I have a question to anyone who has seen. At the second to last number, Patti says words to the effect of "I had no idea that we were going to do this" and she gets sheet music and reading glasses from the pianist. They then perform "Rock Island" from Music Man (with Patti reading and singing). Then instead of saying "Hill" and "Harold Hill" he replaces with "Madoff" and "Bernie Madoff". I wonder if this addition (not listed in program) was because of the audience in West Palm Beach and they were likely affected by Mr. Madoff's Ponzi scheme?
Edit: I did a search and now see that Bernie Madoff had a house in Palm Beach and belonged to the country club there and likely bilked many members. I guess that's why the addition was made to the show. I would still like to know if subsequent performances have "Rock Island".

What a song list! I absolutely cannot wait to see them in Cleveland.
I hate both of them...
I'm going to her show on April 5th in San Antonio, Texas. Then.... she's actually doing a show here in Austin on March 27,2010. I'll be there. from RC in Austin, Texas

I saw Patti and Mandy last night at NJPAC and it was a letdown.
Overall -- One word: Boring
Voices -- Two words, respectively: Screechy and Boring
Together -- Three words: They don't blend
p.s. I expected the performers at a two-star concert, billed as An Evening with ... , would have some rapport with the audience. They barely acknowledged us.
