re: Mandy Patinkin and Patty Lupone

With all due respect... at least get the damn woman's name right!

It is Patti LuPone NOT Patty Lupone.

That should be Patti's new headshot.

Steve, what are you doing in South Florida!? Well, welcome anyways.

I think I might go see it, I wonder if she will sing "Don't Cry for me Argentina"? I love Mandy!!!

re: Mandy Patinkin and Patty Lupone

when I saw it in Philly last year, the highlight for me (besides the songs from Evita) was definitely the office chair ballet. (which is currently on that site.) it was so delightfully silly and fun.

re: Mandy Patinkin and Patty Lupone

^ I did a serious double-take last night when I saw that! I was on the phone so the TV was muted but I went 'WHOAH Patti is in a doctor's office holding a dog doing a commercial about colon cancer!!'

I'm going to catch Patti and Mandy in Cleveland in May. Should be awesome!

re: Mandy Patinkin and Patty Lupone

I'm seeing them in Michigan in April. A friend got tickets for us, and she was really excited to get third row tickets for $80.

And not that she would do it anyway, but I did warn her not to take pictures re: Mandy Patinkin and Patty Lupone

re: Mandy Patinkin and Patty Lupone

We see you 'fixed' her first name (from Patty to Patti)... now time to 'fix' her last name from Lupone to LuPone.

So... you say you're a fan, huh? re: Mandy Patinkin and Patty Lupone

NJPAC (Newark) March 29.

p.s. That's closer to Broadway than it is to Off-Broadway!

re: Mandy Patinkin and Patti LuPone

I believe the NJPAC concert is sold out, actually. at least, you can't buy seats online (that I can see, anyway). but you can call their box office and ask.

I am debating. I can't stand him. His last concert in LA was 70 minutes of irritating music and self congratulatory stories.

re: Mandy Patinkin and Patti LuPone

If it werent for Patti, I wouldnt be there. It is nice she is helping him out. I actually hesitated to buy tickets when I heard he was with her.

I had the same experience when I saw him live-it was like a Mandy info-mercial with too many songs in that falsetto. I vowed never again. But then he teamed up with La LuPone. :)

re: Mandy Patinkin and Patti LuPone

I wish it was coming to chicago. Maybe it will be a surprise addition to the ravinia festival or something. I mean she loves coming here to perform (she has said) and Mandy grew up here. I would think such a big city should be given the honor of their presence.

I'm seeing them on Saturday - can't wait... does anyone know what songs they do (other than the ones mentioned on this post).

re: Mandy Patinkin and Patti LuPone

Let us know how it is...I saw this show before Gypsy and I thought it was REALLY bizarre.

They do the whole damned bench scene from Carousel and the opening of South Pacific. Picture it-Mandy Patinkin as Billy and Emil.

The show IS directed by Mandy, so expect some craziness.

I saw the show last night and it was great

Got both a SD after and was very rushed and agitated.
