A friend of mine saw Aida when Mandy was in it and he said, she wasn't very good in the role of Amneris.

I thought she was wonderful. She probably had a six month contract. Long running shows like this seem to have revolving door casts. I talked briefly with her on her last night and she said there was something coming up.

Mandy was HILARIOUS, but that was all. During the more serious parts of the show she still seemed a bit ditzy to me. And I didn't like her singing. Don't get me wrong, she has a good voice, I just wasn't crazy over her technique.

I absolutely love that girl...I've felt a kinship with her ever since Bryant Park this summer when Will Chase came up behind me and went, "I just got so confused...I thought you were Mandy, but Mandy's up there performing!" Radames mistook me for Amneris...made my day :)
I loved how she portrayed Amneris, but Felicia Finley was still the best I've seen, in my opinion. (I also saw Darcie Roberts.)
I've heard good things about Lisa, but in the pictures I've seen of her, she just looks kinda old to be Amneris...

Strangely enough with Lisa ... I don't think she's that old, I just think she has a very mature bone structure.

ooh, you posted my favortie AIDA pic!! =) I wasn't sure that was Lisa but she does look kinda old, but then again, look at the makeup =) Michelle looks beautiful!!!!!

Mandy was there for long enough in the role. I'd honestly say her vocals were the best aspect of her performance. Her dull acting made me in no way miss her when she was off stage, she moved very clumsily during "My Strongest Suit," and personally I didn't find her funny at all. She seemed in over her head with how to deliver punch lines and/or have any sense of comedic timing. Anyone see her u/s Lori Ann Strunk??...now SHE should be the new Amneris.

I love lisas wig. I actually had a backstage tour and I got to TOUCH that exact wig!! It was one of my favorite moments!

Mandy was the reason I sat through Michelle T.
I really liked her Amneris and I really like her technique, though it's really different and understandably not for everyone.
