Didn't he shave it for his part in Assassins? I could be crazy, but I believe that is why he did it. I think it looks great personally. It's nice not to see him looking perfectly "clean cut".

i saw the original production via T.O.F.T, when I was planning to direct the show. It was awesome, I only hope this doesn't let me down.
I'm slowly becoming a anti-Mantello supporter, don't know why.
