Too bad I Can Wait was cut from the film - might have gotten a nomination.
I feel about this song as I did after hearing Proud Of Your Boy which was cut from Aladdin - another beautiful song that I wish stayed in the movie.

The most disgusting, atrocious thing ever to happen in America. Seriously, what a gross oversight. The Hairspray songs are the most tuneful and happily contagious songs. Half of the nominees are tripe in my opinion.
Who cares about the Grammys anyway? Grammy Schmammy. Marc has our love and that is money in the bank!

what can you do now though? complaining won't get you anywhere. but i do agree new girl in town is really good.
we jammed to it one day in a convertible in philly and got some looks from people. the uarts kids understood though.
new girl in town would have been awesome in the show.
