Just got my reservations for the Carlyle! May 26. I am soooo excited. Unfortunately, you must eat dinner at their overpriced restaurant, but that doesn't even matter, because I love Maria sooo much! I am so excited! Who else is going?

I'm sure the food is good, but pricey as well. No matter. To hear her sparkle and sing Sondheim will be amazing!

I saw her last Friday. I love her, she is amazing, I didn't love her song selection though, a lot of the songs that she chose were never released.

Hey! I'm going on the 24th. You can request to not have dinner, just dessert. You don't get prime seating but it doesn't even matter because the room is so small. Good deal in my opinion. :)

I went to the 10.45pm show and some people didn't have anything to eat, we had some cheese and grapes and a shrimp cocktail. All for Laura, how did you develope this admiration for Maria?

AH!!! I wish so very much I could go...

i saw Woman in White during previews last year and thought that Maria was brilliant. The only reason to go see an otherwise (imo) mediocre show!

if only i lived near NY i would SOOOO be there... gr.


but, if it counts: i've stayed at the Carlyle. they have elevator operators *ooooh* *aaaah*

Oh, when i went to the Carlyle, Elaine Stritch(sp?) bumped into me and apologized...hehe. She seemed out of it. So funny.

Elaine Stritch is always out of it. I think I fell in love with Maria the first time I hear her sing from Passion...Then I heard her do everything else and my admiration for her continued to grow, so yeah!
