I've met both Maria and Stephen before. They were together at Ravinia (I saw "Anyone Can Whistle" with Patti Lupone, Michael Cerveris, and Audra MacDonald- all three of whom are lovely people). Maria was so kind and shocked that I knew who she was but Stephen was an ass, if you pardon my phrase. He got upset that I was talking to Maria and then when I tried to say something to him, he walked away from us. Then Maria got really upset at what he had done and was like, "Oh, I'm so sorry! I guess I should go." It was very strange.
