Saw her trudging up 44th Street this evening, hunched over, carrying more bags than I could count. Even so, she still looked great.

well people will kick my teeth out of I write my real opinion so since it was dress rehearsal I will keep my negative thoughts to myself. But I just dont get the hype...
When I saw Deuce in 2007, Angela Landsbury and Marian Seldes were just marvelous to the fans outside the stage door. One thing that struck me about M.S. is her "teeny weeny tiny" handwriting. Still... I enjoyed the show for the most part.
from RC in Austin, Texas...
Marian seems so prescious!
Marian is the sweetest lady ever. Everytime I see her somewhere she is always smiling and so gracious to anyone who talks to her about the arts. Especially the younger crowd.
I had the privilege of taking her life casting for Three Tall Women when she took over the Old Woman Role and toured with it. She was gracious and kind and actually sent me a wonderful postcard from the road thanking me for the final product.
I have always admired her for that! a true class act!
This thread really warmed the carples of my heart to see and read. She really is a special, special lady in a class of her own. I feel immensely privileged to have seen her perform.

Does she still hold the record for longest performance in a Broadway show?
i don't know about her record, but she is AMAZINGLY sweet. i saw her at Deuce and she gave me a hug and was so gracious to everyone! such a sweet sweet lady :)
I had the pleasure of meeting both Ms. Seldes and Ms. Landsbury at the stagedoor after a performance of Deuce. They were both very kind. It was an honor and a thrill to meet two such beautifully classy, talented ladies. Definitely a cherished memory for me.
I met her when my ex was assisting with a Cameron Mackintosh tribute. She was running late so we met her on the sidewalk and took her in. She was so fancy....she performed "Memory" as a dramatic reading--it was so awesome--not the performance itself, but it somehow toed the line between campy and sincere and was just great.

So that WAS Corine at PASSING STRANGE! Honey, you'd better get back on that diet pronto. Your hips are getting so large you're looking like that woman in THE NUTCRACHER>
Also, you're age is becoming very evident!! Please find a better moisturizer.
See above.

What I saw above was a distracting image of Corine--a woman who has really let herself go...and go, and go.

I have known Ms. Seldes for many years, and she is as nice/gracious as she is talented.
Marion Seldes is a remarkable actress, and understands the importance of listening - whether it be on stage or off.
Her memorable performance (with Ms. Lansbury) in Deuce was like watching a Master Class.
True theater royalty.
