Marin Mazzie as Lady of the Lake?

Is this true? I searched but could not find anything on it.. and wasn't sure if it was true that she will be playing this next.

Guess you never caught her performance in Kiss Me Kate, Kismet or On the 20th Century?

She is a comic powerhouse who plays the Diva of Divas with flair.

"she's not like that part"? She sure is! I think she's perfect for that role. She's a fabulous comedic actor, with a spectacular voice.

I saw the OBC back in March of '05 but how I'd love to see Ms. Mazzie in that role; she is one of my absolute favorite performers.

I think this role will be a perfect fit for her and she will be fabulous.
I also think that had she opened the show in this role, she would have won her first, well-deserved Tony Award.

I love her, and think she'll do wonders for the show. The last person I saw do Lady of the Lake was the worst performace I've seen on a Broadway stage. (Sara's understudy) I think Marin will be fantastic.
