"Aw man, I thought this was going to be a thread announcing the creation of a Super Mario Brothers musical! I'm very disappointed."
That would be sooooooo cool.
With Clay Aiken in Spamalot, all of Broadway is singing a collective "There! Right! There!" -Me-
"Not Barker, Todd is the only person I've ever known who could imitate Katherine Hepburn...in print." -nmartin-

Posted: 6/28/08 at 6:24pmA Super Mario Bros. musical. It's interesting to ponder. Who would play Koopa? How would they even handle it? I mean, would it be like an animatronic thing or would it be an actor in costume?

^ LOL. Can you say Tony?
And Lepitite the U/s's will be K-fed as Mario and Will Ferrell as Luigi.

"Happy Pride?
What does that have to do with Mario Lopez?"
...because he is gay friendly and his breakthrough performance in the Greg Louganis Story.

It could look something like this:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=sGQ20yDDVzQ
Vita, dulcedo, et spes nostra
Salve, Salve Regina
Ad te clamamus exsules filii Eva
Ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes
O clemens O pia

As anyone can attest, I was a big supporter of Mario Lopez for some time. In fact, I was the one that broke the news about A CHORUS LINE and Mario hours after he first mentioned thinking about doing the show. I saw a perfect fit between performer and show.
Unfortunately, after his slaughtering of the original text/staging of A CHORUS LINE to suit HIM, all that respect and praise I had for him is no longer there. Yes, he may be a great person and may do positive things with his celebrity, but that doesn't justify his actions (and demands) in order to make HIS Broadway debut.
I hope the Broadway community agrees with my assessment and doesn't think twice before welcoming him back.
TV loves you, ML. Stick to where you're welcomed. Broadway can survive without you. We promise you.

Wow Poor Mario! You know the famous saying, when you've BrodyFosse123, you've lost Broadway. When one thinks of the power that BrodyFosse wields, poor Mario's career on the great white way is over before it's really begun.
Where is that sarcasm font????

Let's just say that there is more than a simple reason why Jenna Elfman never made her Broadway debut (after rehearsing for a week) replacing Jane Krakowski in the recent revival of NINE.
4 words: Don't F**k with BrodyFosse123.
Enjoy your weekend.

Wow, Brody.
I will say I enjoyed this thread more when it was about the Super Mario brothers.
