He plays Signor Naccarelli and I just realized that he is in one of my favorite movie, Election (with another broadway favorite Matthew Broderick!!!!!!). He played Dave, the teacher who has the affair with Tracy Flick/Reese Witherspoon. He's got a great voice, and it would appear that this is his Broadway debut, so what way to make a debut!!!!!!
Mr. Harelik has been a regular here in SoCal for some time (especially at SCR, where last year he gave a riveting performance as Cyrano, and also originated De Vere in THE BEARD OF AVON.) We are VERY happy to see him have this opportunity - and he aquits himself wonderfully, I might add!
Yes, ditto about being a really nice guy. The last time I went at the stage door, I think I mentioned maybe to another fan or maybe him, I don't quite rememeber that it was the 2nd time I saw the show and he was very interested in anything I noticed that was different. I felt bad b/c I really didn't, but I told him the experience I got out of it and things I noticed were different. And then we briefly talked about how amazing the orchestra is.
"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli
When I first saw Mark's name a while back in the press release announcing that he was going to do Piazza, I had to think to myself what I knew him from. I finally did a Google search and, with an "oh, of course!" palm slap to the forehead, I realized that I'd only seen him many a time as Helen Chappel's love interest, Davis, on one of my favorite sitcoms, Wings.
Ok, give me grief if you like, but I happen to like Wings. It's one of very few TV shows that I do like.
Anyway, knock 'em dead, Davis Lynch--er, Mark!
Oh, I also realized he was also the obnoxious tennis lothario, Milos, on a really funny Seinfeld episode.
Such a talented actor. I've seen him in a couple of plays off-Broadway (as well as in movies and tv) and he's always been first-rate in a great range of roles. I was hoping he might snag a Tony nod this year for PIAZZA (he did get a nomination from the Outer Critics Circle), but it's nice that he's getting noticed in a high profile acclaimed production. I wish him the best.

ELECTION! That's where I know him from! It was killing me the entire time I was watching Piazza. I guess I could have opened my Playbill and looked. I love Election.
Took me a few moments to recognize him, sans mustache, on Gilmore Girls this week - he's a really good performer - I hope his career is long and successful.
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!"
Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!
