I want to order tkts for "La Cage," but I can't afford top dollar seating right now. As far as the mezzanine is concerned, how far back is too far and should I stay away from the sides? Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Posted: 12/23/04 at 3:10pmThe Marquis is not the world's most beautiful theatre, but it is blessed with comfy seats, plenty of legroom and wonderful views no matter where you sit. I sat in the rear, side mezz for "Mille" and saw everything, and did not feel far away. This is quite an accomplishment for such a big theater.

I agree, nice seats, gr8 views. Saw Millie there just before it closed and Damn Yankees Revival years ago.

Posted: 12/23/04 at 9:38pmI sat in the second row of the mezzanine almost all the way to the left and while I initially thought I had seats from hell, the view was just fine. The mezzanine isn't that far back, it's just heavily raked. You should be fine wherever you are (the extreme sides of the orchestra seem a bit rough though)

Posted: 12/24/04 at 1:17amlike people have said, almost every seats a good seat, and they're all really confortable. Its pretty steep so being behind a tall person isnt a big deal, and the mezz is pretty close to the stage compared to some other MAMMOTH theatres... i've seen agyg, v/v, tmm & la cage there and have no complaints!
