^Rainbows is wonderful, but I sort of wish they hadn't surrounded it with little bits of music from A Little Night Music and just let it stand on it's own. Overall, the album is lovely. For purists, I doubt it will stand a chance next to the original, but the performances are charming and their vocal clarity is exceptional. I'll never say no to a Sondheim revue. It's the next best thing to a new Sondheim musical. I feel like it took Ghostlight/Sh-k-boom a bit longer to get this one out, but it was worth the wait.
