Love the Comment about Marti's accent ROBUSA - Can you imagine him playing Billy with his glaswgian accent! He has to meodify his accent for the english to understand it so there is noway the americans would stand a chance.
If he canme across as slimey and you did not realise he was Scottish it sounds to me as if he was acting very well.

Wouldn't it be MacFlynn, if he were Scottish?

marti a pub singer, where on earth did you get that information from, marti is far to big to play in pubs

i dont need to say any more about his abilities because other people have already said how great he his

if marti wasn't good enough for being in the show why on earth have they asked him to do it, doesn't that say something !!

as for his accent omg he plays a american fantastic considering he has got a very strong scottish accent

his voice overshadows his acting anyday , he is a profesional singer not a professional actor
im not doubting his acting though i thought he was excellent in the show

Look, I realize that Marti's got quite the following in the UK and that's fine, I'm not knocking him. If you read my posts carefully, I never said he was bad. I said he did not stand out. And I can honestly say with the number of times I've seen this show, the number of casts I've seen, and the number of actors I've seen play Billy, I have more than enough grounds to feel that way.

Respect an opinion and move on
I'm not the only one who wasn't floored by him.

Fair enough CJR - I do respect the fact you have seen the show a lot. at the end of the day all this comes down to individual tastes.

I asked for your original review (I think lol)and you gave it honestly and without being unkind.

also a heart thanks to cjr for an honest post. considering the amount of times you've seen the show, you should know who "plays the part."

thanks for your feedback, your opinion and your "fair" review of marti.

You're welcome. I'm glad not all of his fans were offended by what I said.
