MIDNIGHT (Off-Broadway)

Set in the American South during the 19th century, MIDNIGHT explores love, identity, empathy, and the humanity that connects us across the boundaries of race, class, and expectation. Featuring a wholly sung-through score that blends gospel, rhythm and blues, pop, rock, folk, opera, and musical theatre, the show follows twelve interconnected lives, six Black characters and six white characters, whose relationships challenge the worlds they have inherited and the assumptions they carry.

As friendships deepen, romances blossom, and beliefs are tested, the characters of MIDNIGHT are forced to confront what it truly means to understand another person’s experience.

I'm no fan of Todrick Hall (as you repeatedly put in bold at every opportunity) but I have to question your creating a thread about this production, and then immediately following up 3 minutes later with a pseudo-breaking news alert that it's now delayed. Did this press release happen at 2:16AM or 2:17AM?

Anyone know why this has been delayed? Will there be more?

The only credited producer on the site is a woman named Caryn Sterling, who doesn't seem to have other any other credits as a producer. Her central claim on her LinkedIn is being "the architect and driving force behind JoJo Siwa’s billion-dollar global brand"

This seems to have quietly canceled its already delayed first performances, per folks on Reddit. Was initially pushed back to a start of 9/17, now everything has been canceled until 9/22.

If it's still there, someone in the comments connected with the show said the delay is because the set was too big and the dimensions were wrong? An amateur reason but also if it is actually true...

Probably more likely it was one of these situations...

Not to mention Hall posted a video last week entering the theater and, even though he didn’t show the whole stage, he clearly pointed out the massive clock set piece which had already been installed. There’s certainly snags not being publicly disclosed, though given Hall’s reputation for production difficulties that’s unsurprising.


I have tickets for Thursday and I’m going in eagerly with the lowest of expectations!

As someone who was a Celebrity Big Brother devotee, he is quite literally the reason we don't have it anymore. He went on the feeds and said vile things about his own houseguests, team, and even admitted to not paying his dancers on the livefeeds. No CBB since and it's hard enough to find those recordings of said feeds.

If it makes you feel better, during that season Todrick was stuck connected to Lamar Odom as a punishment for a few days and Todrick pissed Lamar off so bad that Lamarthrew away the playing cards for the house that Todrick would mess it with 24/7. We also haven't had playing cards back since..."

Good luck to you, that man can't even bother to update his IG with the correct date for previews, so I expect the same amount of effort if they actually start performances this week.
