I'm seeing it in 2 weeks and boy, am I EXCITED!!!
My dad basically made me grow up on Martin Short sketches and movies so I'm really looking forward to seeing his show.

Posted: 9/30/06 at 4:58pmI saw it last week. What do you want to know about it?

Posted: 9/30/06 at 9:28pmI was wondering how long do you think it is going to last? I was just curious, because having not heard much about it, it seemed that it wasn't doing too well.

Posted: 9/30/06 at 10:42pmI saw the show a few weeks ago and laughed during the entire performance. It was a great experience to see a great comedian like Martin Short on stage, plus the bonus of a broadway production featuring a very talented cast. Highly recommended!

If you're a Martin Short fan, it's a great show. If you're not, you may get tired of his shtick after a while.
He's very generous with the stage time and sharing it with his expert ensemble, Birdsong, Vivino, Ashmanksas, Shaman, and Jenkins.
The "celebrity/random audience guest" factor is what makes the show interesting. Having seen a normal guy from Hoboken, as well as Jerry Seinfeld, Regis Philbin, and a NY1 anchor squirm in their seats, I can safely say it's hilarious.
And who can resist laughing at lyrics like "I want those big titties"?

Noted and edited, apologies all around.
For the record, I based my opinion on the many different interviews I've seen. I know it's just a persona, but he just strikes me as a bit....full of himself.

Mixed to positive.
It was a great show for a very slow summer.

It was a fantasticly entertaining show. I wish I could go again.
And one thing I loved was the sign on the inside of the stage door "Marty Exit This Way." Now, I'm sure I know what it meant, but it still is funny.
I just picture lil' ol' Marty wandering around backstage in his baby costume, lost.

Posted: 9/30/06 at 11:48pmI'd like to see the show just for Jiminy Glick. I do like Martin Short a lot, though he does grate on me at times. I think he's a wonderful comedian.

just to clarify, "vivino" aka. Donna Vivino has not joined the cast yet. She starts this Tuesday i believe. So it must be Nicole Parker you're referring to.
The show is really fun for Martin Short fans and non-fans alike. Its just a laugh out loud good time, and i definitely got the vibe that the cast is just one close knit gang. I laughed the whole show. Nothing ever felt tired and i left still laughing about it. highly, highly recommend it
