The article mentions Celia Weston, Lili Taylor, and Janeane Garofalo. Weston would obviously be Aunt Ruth, but Taylor and Garofalo both seem like choices for Bessie. I really can't picture either of them as Leeann.

Given how Garofalo tends to play brash and Taylor tends to play fragile, I assume the former is Lee and the latter is Bessie.

My guess as well.   I agree Taylor seems a clearer choice for Bessie than Garofalo might for Lee, but the more I think about it, it's not hard for me to see them both in those roles, albeit with Garofalo's being somewhat of a very different take on Lee from those I've seen before.

It was officially announced today.

Here is the casting breakdown:

Janeane Garofalo will star as “Lee” in her Broadway debut; Lili Taylor will star as “Bessie” and Celia Weston will star as “Ruth.”
