Mary Poppins Front Row?

I have been wanting to see Mary Poppins for some time, and found front row center seats for cheap. Was wondering if the front row view is good, or if the stage is high and it is somewhat hard to see. Thanks!

The stage shouldn't block very much at all, but be prepared to be looking straight up a lot. The sets are massive, and a lot happens in the air!
I sat in the front row when the show first opened, and I remember sitting with my head rested on the back of my seat because I was staring straight up. (I was also in 6th grade, too.)

I've seen "Mary Poppins" twice. The first time we were in the middle of the orchestra section, maybe row R or something, and it was a magical experience. The second time, I got tickets for the third row, and I found that being that close was actually NOT as good. While it was exciting to be so close to the actors, I could see the seams on the statue costumes, and the scenery was more clearly "scenery" -- it took away from the illusion somewhat. I also did have to look "up" a lot. Plus, in the big production numbers, I would be looking from side to side so as not to miss anything, whereas when I was farther back, I could see the whole stage easily.

So, that's my two cents.

Front row mezz is perfect! I've sat front row mezz a couple times and it's great. I sat aisle orchestra row R or so and that was pretty good, but I actually really missed the perspective of sitting in the mezz.

If you're ever looking for really cheap seats, I used to sit in the boxes once in awhile. They were really cheap partial view and you didn't miss all that much. They provided really nice perspective though.
