Posted: 6/5/07 at 12:33amAre center mezzanine seats for Mary Poppins better than sitting on the side orchestra? I would ussually not ask this but I am taking my grandparents.

does anyone else have an opinion? please.... I am worried that the New Amsterdam is bigger than other shows I have sat in the mezzanine for and that it will be hard for them to see.

Posted: 6/5/07 at 1:44amJust get the tickets it'll be fine. How many opinions do you need? Someone gave you one. Either take their advice or don't.

Posted: 6/5/07 at 1:50amim sorry that $120 is not easy for my grandparents to just spend and that i need to make sure i get the best seats. a simple "yes" is not very convincing

Posted: 6/5/07 at 4:03amIt'd be even more helpful if you tell us WHERE in the mezzanine you found tickets to and WHERE in the side orchestra you found tickets...like, specific locations.

Aren't you buying them? Or are you grandparents? Because ultimately then they should decide.

Posted: 6/5/07 at 5:58amI'll tell you this, the orchestra seats have alot more leg room then other seats. If you grandparents are picky over that, sit in the orchestra. However, I do recommend the front row of the balcony on the right side if they aren't...

Um, like EVERYONE knows that's where Mary Poppins makes her exit at the end of the show. She glides off the stage and floats towards the right of the theatre and up into thru the roof.

The seats will be wonderful.
I sat in the last row of the balcony and had a great view.

Posted: 6/5/07 at 2:29pmok i was a bit concerned about stuff like lights blocking that "certain scene that involves the proscenium", since some shows hang their lights rather low and may have blocked it out
