Mary Poppins US Tour or Bway Return?

Are there any plans of Mary Poppins ever returning to the US, either on Broadway or another U.S. Tour. It had a recent revival in London and the U.K. Tour is now closing. 

Read this on Tours to You and was wondering if this was true. I have been praying for this show to return to the U.S. for years.

  • • In spring 2023, the John Gore Organization, which oversees Broadway Across America, sent a survey to patrons among the various markets they manage. This survey was to gauge interest in a number of shows, including a revival of Mary Poppins. The show also appeared in the post-Tony Awards survey in 2023, the pre- and post-Tony Awards surveys in 2024, and the pre-Tony Awards survey sent in early 2025.
    • On May 27, 2025, the booking company Bond Theatrical added this show among its other offerings, stating that they are currently booking this show to venues for full-week engagements.

Maybe in a few seasons, whenever the films 65th anniversary is. Disney would probably wait until The Beauty and the Beast tour is in its second year or just about wrapping up to launch another tour.

Mary Poppins is likely at the bottom of the list of shows Disney would bring back, because they would only be entitled to 51% of profits the show makes. Unlike their other properties, they share producing royalties with Cameron Mackintosh.
