Mary poppins Broadway or London

I've only seen it on Broadway, but I've heard from a lot of people that the show seemed better in London.

Not 'cuz of the cast, just the setting or something.

The cast was far superior in London, just from the basis of Laura Michelle Kelly as Mary Poppins. Luckily we were able to get Gavin Lee over here because he really makes up for Ms. Brown.

London! Also the atmosphere of the theatre really gets you in the mood, it feels more Mary Poppins then 42nd Stree if that makes sense.

Yuk! I totally disagree!! Both women do an admirable job with a mediocre show. They both sing and look the part very well. Unfortunately for both actresses, it seems they were directed to be emotionless know-it-alls. LMK's character is so smug and unpleasant while Ashley's warmth and likability manages to shine through. There are clips of both on Youtube if you want to compare.

I only seen it in London and it is absolutelly wonderfull, Laura Michelle Kelly is Mary Poppins no one will ever play the role as good as her, although the new Mary at the moment Lisa O'Hare is FABULOUS!! As far as Ashley Brown is concerned I like her but there is something lacking in her Mary Poppins..can't put in to words what :S

the atmosphere is definitely better in London. The Prince Edward Theatre is wonderful!
