I might be getting tickets for my mom and sister for Xmas for the show and I'm woundering how row K in the Balcony is? The reason I'm asking is bc all ticket master it says their might be a pipe in the way that should not effect the show experience. So I'm asking is this a problem? Has anyone seen the show from these seats? If so did u miss much if anything?
Thanks for your help

Posted: 12/3/06 at 8:30pmI saw the show from fourth row center orchestra and it was WAY too close to appreciate that enormous set -- I was craning my neck the whole time. I have a friend who saw it from the middle of the balcony and thought the seats and the view were pretty decent. I would think you'd be pretty happy with Row K of the balcony. If you're concerned about the pipe, though, I'm sure if you stopped by the theatre they'd let you take a look at where the seats are.

Posted: 12/11/06 at 6:29pmSorry coolkid, those pipes are like pillars of steel. No way to see around or over them. There is one in front of every seat and their about 6 feet wide. Your better off trying the rent lotto again.

don't listen to mymancape -
i sat in the balcony when the lion king was at the new am and the pipes are hardly noticeable. if you can get balcony seats, go for it. i prefer to sit in the orchestra - it makes the show seem grander. but your original question about the pipes - they don't disrupt your view very much at all.

Coolkid,
The pipes are thin brass support pipes to the ceiling. My family sat way back in the balcony also, and it did not bother us at all. I assume that you got a decent price for those seats, so just enjoy the show and do not worry about the pipe. I actually did what TenThousandThings suggested to you, and I stopped by the theater the week before I saw the show and asked one of the attendants about it. He was nice enough to show me where my seats were on a large photo of the seating area that was on display in the lobby. The show is great, have a great time!!!!

Mezz EE is better. You won't be able to appreciate everything from the orchestra.
Balcony seats are also good. The pipes didn't bother me at all.
Mezz AA is the first row of the orchestra and 18-26 are on the far right of the stage.

Posted: 12/21/06 at 3:16pmI was in the mezzanine/balcony for another show at that theatre. This is an old theatre, and (in spite of it being re-built) it has the tiniest seats with the smallest spaces between rows of any theatre. Also, the seats were not built so that you could see in-between heads in front of you. Very poorly built. If I were you, I'd try to sit in the orchestra on an aisle seat. It's torture to pay good money and then (1) not be able to see and (2) be uncomfortable.

The view from the NA balcony is fine, but it's incredibly uncomfortable.

The balcony has an incredible view...I was in C ($60, and could see everything, albeit she didn't fly the day I went, but the lighting, etc, still occured so you could tell the path she takes, and it's in 100% clear view).
I can't imagine anywhere on the balcony being a bad view, especially for that effect.

Posted: 12/21/06 at 10:17pmi sat in one of the last rows of the orchestra and had a great view of everything. I would say mid-to-back of orchestra/front of mezz would be the best bets for this show.

Just wondering about my seats for the show on Saturday...
I'm in the left mezz, 3rd row, I think I'm a little bit off the aisle.
Decent?
