re: songs without any relevance to the musical

Feb 22, 2007 — 4:55:31 PM

sentimental man sets up the wizard's character dancing through life sets up the beginning of elphie/glinda/fiyero's relationships, not to mention others. finland - thats the total point. never seen producers.... masquerade - the song is a celebration of the new opera star and new chandelier... etc.

Don't have a need to see Legally Blonde

Feb 18, 2007 — 6:00:00 PM

Is is my number one reason that I am coming to New York in April. I guess I am just a ridiculous person. I bet your favorite show was a ridiculous idea too. This is a ridiculous thread. Everythings ridiculous. RE-DIK-YOU-LESS.

a. wheelies are the nasty looking shoes that have wheels in the bottom. So when you feel uber lazy or like you just need to look dumb, you can skate for short periods of time and have an awful time stopping, and look dumb. b. bwaybaby4. Please, get over it. every show closes. it happens. we move on. some of us go to our therapists (i do) maybe you need to. c. from the sound of it flotsam/jetsam sound like they are gonna be gay little eels. im excited for those two.

re: Legally Blonde Musical, first preview reactions

regardless of what happens: there will always be people who are excited for the show before the costumes are even sketched and the rehearsals even start, there will always be people who do like it, as there will always be people who don't. The only true test is whenever it actually GETS to broadway and douses it peroxide, we will see if broadway keeps the blonde, or goes to the hair salon. regardless, i am excited, i was excited from word of mouth, i got more excited with three little songs, ...

how about a fabulous woman named Kaitlin Hopkins who replaced Skinner in the OTR tour? um, she maybe kicked Poor Unfortunate Souls' Disney patootie. and finally, wheelies, not skates.

re: Dressing up to go to the theatre?

Jan 23, 2007 — 5:49:25 PM

unfortunately, i think Bway lost its 'dresscode' ages ago. i would actually love to wear a nice suit to a show if i had the money, or it was 'normal' to do so. but when i go i always wear a button up, nice shoes (no tennies, eww) and a good pair of jeans without any fading, rips or tears, and on occasion i have a velvet suitcoat if i want to be a little more dressy/trendy. and i am a 'tourist' when I am seeing shows. i think it depends on the person.

re: Mermaid casting

Anyone else find these descriptions a little cheesy? overflowing with feelings that are fathoms deep ‘side-stepper’ by nature Full of confidence, positivity, and, of course, feathers. A little fish in a big pond. high-voltage low-lifes... Ssslippery, ssslimy sssnakes in the (sea) grass.

i hope one of the parishiners reads this and has a heart attack. let the church/theatre be a theatre again. its okay for churches to become theatres. but vise versa? NO.
