Matilda Partial View Orchestra Seats

I was hoping someone could give me an idea of how the view is from these seats. Is it quite obstructed? Would I be better off in the rear mezzanine? Specifically, I'm considering Row A Seats 18-20. Thanks!

I saw in Row A 18 - it is a perfect seat. You will not miss a thing. It's extremely close to the stage so you may feel like the actors will fall in your lap. There's a stairway to the stage for entrances and exits right in front of you. I found it very exciting to sit that close.

They're wonderful seats. I'd love to see the show again from a more central seat a few rows back but I'm glad I experienced it up close. It's a very loud show but at times you can hear the actors before their voices are miked, which I always find exciting. Matilda's ruler flew out of her bag, that may happen again!

I think that I'll end up being happy that I experienced it that close as well. I love seeing all the minor details and like you said, being able to hear the actors' voices before they're amplified. Matilda is definitely the show I'm looking forward to seeing most on my trip this summer!

I so want to see it again soon, and especially from my original seats or perhaps more central and a couple back because I already had the almost on the stage experience!

I saw the show from the last row of the balcony haha, and really want to try a front orch partial view seat. Can't decide if I should splurge though!

I was in D22 and saw everything just fine--wouldn't have minded being closer.

The view is great. You can see everything, except the entrances from the aisles. Sound is also very good! I will happily sit there again without question. Be careful when picking seats though, because there are 4 bars in the middle of the balcony section. I sat in row J seat 6 on house right and my view was PERFECT. And for $37, what a deal!

Ah ok!! Thank you!! My seats are balcony J 113-114, and I know there is a pole smack in the center of my view...but according to a telecharge rep--the producers deemed that it will not affect my view, hopefully I won't have an issue.

Does anyone know how obstructed the “partial view” seats are on the far left and right. I am looking at rows D&E, seats 29 or 30?

I saw Matilda on Saturday and sat Row K seat 24. It was marked as partial view. Upstage left was obstructed but I didn't feel like I missed all that much. The person next to me in K 26 had a little more trouble just due to the design around the proscenium. At the end of the day though - for $27 this was not a bad seat at all.

That is the best seat to get. You are very close to the stage.
