I was going to stagedoor at Matilda soon, but will be staying in the balcony. Is the stagedoor super busy? Do I even have a chance to get down there to get a spot in time? It would be a Sunday matinee. It's okay if you say no, it's not that much of a big deal.

It's super busy in the area at times because Bradley Cooper's stage door is right next door (a zoo!). But I think you should certainly try. Some days are more crowded than others and not all the actors come out of the stage door. So I would just definitely take the chance...and good luck to you.

I stage doored it last year during the holidays and it wasn't busy at all really. Zachary Quinto was also next door doing The Glass Menagerie. Families and older adults tend not to stage door. So I think you'll be fine. I also sat in the balcony when I saw it.

On a side note, only the adults come out of the stage door. Kids are snuck out through a door near the 44th steer entrance.
I was actually there this past Saturday after the matinee, and it was actually not bad. The barricades were only one person deep, and we probably could have squeezed together to let more people in! Matt Harrington and Queen Lesli came out within 20 minutes and Alison Luff within 30. All of them were super nice!
I went after a Sunday Matinee, and it was fine. I was in the balcony and made it to the stage door with plenty of time to spare. Most people going have kids, so it takes more time for them to leave the theater. There are A LOT of kids though. They were a bit rowdy (punching each other, crying, knocking into people). Try to avoid the ends of the barricade and get a spot near adults. The cast is wonderful and very kind!
