I just discovered this CD and I LOVE it! I've only downlaoded a few songs until I can buy it, but so far all of them are so great! The lyrics are beautiful and have great sounds to them. Just wish that I could find the lyrics to the song 'Europe' which are nowhere to be found. lol. Any of you heard/own it?

I've heard a few of Matt's songs, and I love them, but I'm not exactly sure where to download the CD!

It's not on iTunes, just checked. The only place to get it is online via a link from his website, I'm gonna have to buy it!

I have Matt's cd. Its incredible. You can get it through his website www.mattcaplan.com or go to CDbaby.com and look him up there.

While youre at CD Baby, Check out Jeremy Kushnier's cd too. You wont regret either of them.

I like it a lot. I think it's something completely unique to him, a sound I've never really heard before. That's a rare thing these days in music, at least with what you hear on the radio. After you listen to this cd, you'll wonder why the music industry forces crap like Ryan Cabrera on you, when there are guys out there like Matt Caplan who are spilling out their guts in such a brave and beautiful fashion.

i love overtones. I really think matt is a great songwriter and i have to agreee that europe is great fun.

I adore Overtones. Matt is just so unique, I'm still not that crazy about his Mark Cohen all the time (his goofing off just bugs me sometimes), but I have to admit- the boy can sing and write.

Overtones is great. I think Matt is an awesome song-writer, and his guitar work is really rather impressive. I think a lot of people who go see him gig out because he's Mark in Rent are surprised by how much natural talent he has in this area. I've been familiar with his music since early 2001, and enjoy a lot of his earlier songs as well as the ones on Overtones. I actually enjoy his first demo a bit more. I wish he'd break out a few older songs when he played live!

Just went to CD Baby and bought the CD. Hope to get it soon! I heard about his demo, wish I could hear it, are there any samples of it anywhere?


I agree that his music is so beautiful, so poetic. Love the guitar and he really does have so much talent.

Just got it in the mail today....LOVE it. L-O-V-E. I especially love "In Between" and "Look Alive". This is gonna be in my cd player for a looooong time.
