stee - I agree...I thought I was the only one who didn't really mind Cavenaugh. Maybe it's because I went in with such LOW expectations for him, but I found him to be alright. Nothing incredible, but not nearly as bad as some people make him out to be.
I really want to see Jordan as well.
And ljay - I love the new avatar
"Somethin's comin', I don't know what it is but it is gonna be great!"
Woops - I forgot to mention the best part of the show: I really loved John Arthur Greene as Riff. First off, he seems genuinely suited for the role... tough and passionate, macho, etc. When I saw Cody Greene, it was like watching a sheep in wolf's clothing. John Arthur can sing and dance, but more importantly you actually believe his tough guy act. It also seems like he is genuinely having a great time performing on stage without trying to overdo his performance.
I also thought that Wes Hart, the new action, was great. I'm probably in the minority but I also didn't like Curtis Holbrook in the role of Action... again, it felt like his performance was too "muggy." Wes Hart was much more subdued with his performance of Officer Krupke - but I liked it better. The song is already comedic and light-hearted for an otherwise heavy plot... so Curtis' mugginess felt so "musical theater" whereas Wes' performance tamed down the cheese-factor.
But yeah - congrats to John Arthur and Wes. I thought John Arthur had way more star power than Matt Hydzyk... Updated On: 12/21/09 at 01:52 PM
