Posted: 7/8/05 at 1:13pmHe is doing TARZAN. And his understudy, David Burnham, is fantastic. No one will be disappointed.

Posted: 7/8/05 at 1:20pmExcuse me? he's doing Tarzan? Jane3, Where did you hear this? We've read quite a few conversations where Phil Collins said he hasn't found anyone yet and that, as apdarcey said, Matt's voice is not rocker enough.....

SEEKING:
[FABRIZIO] An actor who is a lyrical tenor and sings to a high B. Fabrizio is a dazzlingly handsome Italian young man (early 20’s). He is innocent, pure and sweet with sex appeal. He speaks very little English. Much of his dialogue is in Italian and broken English. He is any American girl’s romantic dream of what a young Italian man should be. Would go on contract August 9.
[SIGNOR NACCARELLI] An actor who is a baritone from mid 40’s to 50’s. Signor Nacarelli is Fabrizio’s father and he owns a tie shop in Florence. He is urbane, sophisticated and attractive. He speaks English fairly well but has a lot of dialogue in Italian. Would go on contract August 23.
Even if he stays for 2 weeks after his replacement starts, how long do you think they want to pay 2 actors for the same part?
2 weeks is the standard rehearsal time. And Lincoln Center is CHEAP. And it is a LORT contract NOT a Production Contract.

I didn't care for Stephen as Fabrizio.
Celia wasn't bad as Clara...but I love me some Kelli.

wow.
I still want to know where he's really going.
I do enjoy that description of Fabrizio. Who wouldn't want to step up and say "hi, I'm dazzingly handsome with a mix of innocence and sex appeal and an American girl's romantic dream. cast me now." ha. Matt should put that on his resume...or in his little black book
I almost waited till August to see this...then thought "why put it off" and went last week. so glad i did.

yes i would also like to know what his next move will be, because i remember a while back him saying something about possibly taking a role that is on Broadway and that he has wanting to do for a long time....but he never said what it was....

Posted: 7/8/05 at 5:57pmThis info would've been handy on Wednesday when I was there. I hope I can see it one more time with him to say goodbye and beg him to tell me what's next. I'll def miss our stage door rap sessions but I hope he won't be gone for long, from Broadway that is. Tarzan? Opposite of Sex? We'll see boys...

What is Joe doing? It doesn't seem like much for a while.
He seems to have fallen off the face of the earth.
