Maureen is a real class act, not to mention being the only redeemable quality Little Women has.

I thought of her when I posted this.

Well, the night I went, Sutton was really off. I've always enjoyed her in the past (she has a tendancy to gravitate towards sub-par show, though), but man, was she not good. She sounded hoarse and whiney.
Maureen was poised perfection, as always.
If I hadn't shelled out full price I would've left at intermission.
Cute pictures!!!
btw~ In my opinion, LW has MANY redeeming qualities! All the acting is great (can we say Sutton, Maureen, Megan, etc...?), I love much of the score, and there are many funny/touching lines/scenes.
Yorkie~ When did you see the show?

The only two songs in the score that I really liked were Here Alone and Days of Plenty. I found Astonishing and Some Things Are Meant to Be weak and sugary.
Then again, this is just my humble opinion. I absolutely respect your point of view.
EDIT: I saw the show a week prior to its opening.

Yorkie~ I can understand your opinion on those songs, but I have seen the show 5 times, so everything has really grown on me.
I am sorry Sutton wasn't in top form when you saw it. That's too bad. When she is "on" she is phenomenal!

I don't doubt that, Elphie! I adored her in Millie, and felt that she brought life to an otherwise forgettable show. I'm glad you enjoyed it enough to see it five times. :)
*wonders where rath is*
I would love to see it again! Unfortunately, I doubt my parents would be too happy about that...
*taps foot impatiently* Yoohoooooo!!! Rath! Where ARE you?

Rath is at home, sobbing because she wasn't invited.
Didn't stop her from going, of course.
heehee
Whew what a day! Just got back from the NYPD - uh, I mean lunch with McG and the girls! Long, long lunch...sorry I wasn't in the pics, but I'm shy.
