Posted: 3/30/08 at 3:19pmI believe their contract is up sometime this summer. I want to say August but again im not 100% sure I just remember reading that somewhere. I think the show will still continue after they leave though. I know that when I went, it was a sold out show I did not see one seat left so I guess thats always a good sign. Anyway I hope they both continue with broadway shows because I would love to see them again in something else!

"Cruise ship material? And what does that mean? Do you have any idea how many Broadway performers have worked in cruise ship or theme park shows before getting their "break"?"
They are typical cardboard cutout, "Sing out Louise!" type performers. Not Broadway stars. They (and this "produciton" of Grease) belong on a cruise ship.
Don't give me all that "but they work hard" crap. Everyone works hard. Doesn't mean that they're good.

Posted: 3/30/08 at 4:38pmMax and Laura's contracts are up on July 24 at which point, I believe, they are both leaving the show. There is talk of a tour and I believe Laura is pretty much set on doing it but Max is undecided. As far as I know they don't HAVE to do the tour but I would think it's strongly encouraged.

Posted: 3/30/08 at 8:04pmWhy would he be undecided? Does he actually think that after those reviews and after this terrible production he'll get another job? At least she got some moderately good reviews!

I agree jv92, I really don't see them, Max especially, having any legit Broadway careers after this disaster of a revival.
"Leave Walt Disney Theatricals new sparkling production of The Little Mermaid on Broadway alone!!!"
lakezurich will be played by Paul Groves in the BWW musical

Posted: 3/30/08 at 8:19pmWell, I don't have any specifics but I do know that Max does have lots of offers on the table for when Grease is over. But I think most of them are in California.

I must be the only one who likes Max better than Laura. While she is cute in the role, she's incredibly bland, and I've heard that Anna Aimee White and Emily Padgett are much better in the role. Max is a great singer and actor, with the only problem being that he is not the traditional hunk, and looks dorky and out-of-place as the leader of the T-Birds.
And it's funny how people are commenting how jerk-ish they think Max is, and how sweet they think Laura is. It's completely opposite for me, and I've never stage-doored the show once.

They're both very nice. I can see why people might think Laura might come off "stuck up" but she's really not. I've had the opportunity to speak to her and her husband on numerous occasions and they're both really sweet people.
And Max...he's just funny. Not a jerk at all.
