Great movie. It would make an amazing play.

It was based on Les Liasons Dangerous.. or something liek that.. which I know has been adapted to the stage.. but a stage version of Cruel Intentions would be nice.. now.. who could play Phillipe's role?? **scratches head even though an answer is known**

I never even thought of it as a play. Wow. I want to be in it. Too bad I wouldn't fit any of the roles -- even if I can recite all of Sarah Michelle Gellar's lines. Hah.
I think its a good story. I hate when people say its a "teenie" movie. The only wierd thing is that all the characters are in high school.

that did not stop Hairspray or Grease!.....
Or Saturday Night Fever and Footloose, but those two shows have a whole other issue. LOL.

This is from Playbill:
"Now von Essen, 28, will be in the Broadway Spotlight on Jan. 5 and 19 at 8 PM at the Ars Nova Theater. To quote a song from Vampires, "there's never been a night like this" because he'll be making his cabaret debut. The Queens-born actor says, "I've been scared of cabaret because it's hard to do well. I don't want it to be cheesy. And I'm doing all these songs I've never sung, like ‘What Do I Need With Love' from Millie and ‘There's a Fine, Fine Line' from Avenue Q.' I'll also do part of ‘For Sarah'; it was the most beautiful song in [Vampires]."
I can't wait to here him sing "What Do I Need With Love" and the song from Avenue Q. It should be different to hear that song by someone besides a slightly overweight female puppet monster!

"For Sara" is a beautiful song and Max has a beautiful voice. It is my favorite song from DOTV.

I found a bootleg (shhhh) recording of Max singing that...... I LOVE it.
I want to hear him sing "It's a Fine, Fine Line". I was thinking of adding to my audition repertoire and want to hear what a guy sounds liek on it...... and "What Do I Need With Love" too.

Heh, when I e-mailed him the other night asking for a hint at what he might be singing, he said:
"no hints for my program, but you'll have fun.
see you on the 19th.
max"
Hm, the countdown has begun until the 19th.

Max is a total professional. I've never seen him give less than 100%. Max always gets an A+ in my book.

Hooray. I got my tickets to the show in the mail. Now I have to go about finding things to do in the city while I make my visit.
I'm thinking about running over to the Marquis Theatre to catch Sutton Foster after her performance in Millie. I never got to tell her that I love her when I saw her because we were running across new york to catch a train. Stupid trains...
