Mean Girls The Musical

So I heard they are trying to make Mean Girls into a musical. Apparently Tina Fey is behind it. This is one of my favorite movies so when I heard this I was super excited! I'm having trouble imagining it not being tacky but we shall see...anyways, does anybody have any more info on it?

Does EVERY MOVIE need to be a Broadway musical now? Like Legally Blonde (awesome show though), Beck it like Beckham, and Bring It On? As soon as I saw clips of LB, I KNEW Mean Girls was the next one.

But…I don’t know about this :/

As all musical adaptions, this as a musical will either be a huge, awesome surprise or this will fall on its butt. (I mean as a WHOLE, not financial) Still planning on seeing it though because c’mon, it’s freaking Mean Girls!
