PJ, your post: "When I won the lottery, sitting front row center, I could see Alex looking down and laughing with people in the pit when Rue would screech or attempt to sing. No, I am not lying." was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. i'm in a library right now, and I laughed so hard that people started staring at me. HAH.
As for Megan, I adore her. She's probably one of the sweetest actresses on broadway now. and not only that, but she's genuinely talented. She has a monstrous range, probably rivaling that of Merman's.
I am really hoping that I can see the show again before Sho leaves, along with the rest of the crew. I saw Megan when she was still a standby, back in late December of last year. This is probably a pointless question, because it's all pure luck, but do you think it's worth a try to go into the city and try the lotto once or twice before Sho leaves? I'd be doing a matinee (and I imagine those would be a tad less crowded- yes?), and there'd only be two of us, so it's not like we'd be needing a bunch of tickets. what do you think? I haven't seen Sho yet as Elphie, and am dying to before she heads out.
As for jonartdesign's "Megan on the other hand can stay there forever as far as i'm concerned"- AMEN TO THAT. I think she's the best Glinda Wicked's seen yet. I love KC, of course, but Megan has such. spunk and shine that she brought to the role. It's so awesome that her Broadway debut is in such a great show, as a lead, no less!
I've tried the lotto on the "less crowded" days such as Tuesdays and Wednesday matinees. Oddly enough, the one time I actually one was a Friday night show when there were 300 people there.
