It just came as a thought Watching Will and Grace....
She does sound good in that M&M commercial.
Can she dance?!? I dont know if she looks it enough...Acting wise, she would be excellent.

I ccan see that! Would LOVE to see her in person!
I love Megan but she's 47 and about 25 pounds heavier then when she did H2$ on Broadway. Plus she's not a dancer. I'm not sure Lola is a role she's going to be playing anytime soon.
Sure she can dance. She used to study at the School of American Ballet; the student company of the New York City Ballet. It's an extremely hard school to get into. I'd say she could handle her feet well enough for the dancing in this show.

Actually, she is quite the dancer. Classical dance for a number of years, and she can tear it up. She talks quite extensively about it on her Inside the Actor's Studio with the rest of the Will and Grace cast.
Didn't know about her dance training. I thought I remember her saying that she had two left feet. Obviously that was a joke or wrong!
Still, I can't imagine her doing a role like Lola at this point in her life. She might be a very winning Dolly Levi though.
I don't care what show she's in; I just want to see her on Broadway. This thought as 'Paris Original' plays on my iTunes. I adore her.

If not DY, what show do you think would be good for her??
I wish she had played Adelaide in England like she was supposed to. She would have been perfection. I know it's too soon btu I could see her doing the Faith Prince revival roles - she'd be an adorable Ella in Bells are Ringing.

Regarding Damn Yankees - Lola has to look like a woman that a heterosexual man in his late 20's would find absolutely irresistable. You'd have to go pretty damn far to find a young straight guy with Megan Mullaly on his "must do" list.
Gooch, yes.
Lola, no.
And Bebe Neuwirth would be on that list?
If the often-talked-about revival of "Mame" ever happens - she'd be a natural for Mame Dennis. She would probably never open it, but she would be a fun summer replacement.
i still think idea mame casting is mullally, with christine baranski as vera
"And Bebe Neuwirth would be on that list?"
Honey! Bebe is f*cking hot as hell on stage!
Ms. Mullaly would be great in MAME as either Mame or Vera! Hey, what about her in ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY?
Megan needs to be the star of her own new Broadway vehicle. She's so amazingly talented, she could probably pull ANYTHING off.
As far as revivals are concerned, I also think she'd be amazing as Dolly Levy or Mame. She's be a great Reno Sweeney. I think she'd be a scream as Miss Hannigan. I REALLY could see her doing a lot of things well.
OH MY GOD! Yes I can see her doing this. I can also see her being Kate Monster in "Avenue Q". I love Karen and her "mo's"

It's also been ten years since Bebe played Lola.

Im watching Will and Grace right now..... I still say Meg would be a Great LOLA.... anyways Gwen was not that young when she played Lola, and Lola is 149yrs (or somin)
I adored her in H2$.
She was so charming and natural and funny.
"I will be seeing her in H2$ soon...but did you really think we didn't know who Megan was? lol "
Ummm...Am I the only one confused by this? Dude, H2$ has been gone for 9 years,
I thought it was just me.
Does anyone else agree she would be wonderful as Kate Monster in Avenue Q?

"anyways Gwen was not that young when she played Lola"
Verdon was just 30 when she played Lola. Mullally is pushing 50.
