"anyways Gwen was not that young when she played Lola"
Verdon was just 30 when she played Lola. Mullally is pushing 50.

"It's also been ten years since Bebe played Lola."
Yes, but my point is, do you seriously think she's ever been on that list? Not that I don't love her, but she doesn't fit into that catagory. She didn't ten years ago either.

Posted: 6/30/05 at 4:32pmI sort of feel that Megan (a few years ago) is more of a Lola than Bebe. I saw Bebe and thought she was good, but I see Lola as being very earthy and voluptuous. Bebe has an amazing body, but I wouldn't describe her as voluptuous. She just looked too thin to me to pull off being a "bombshell." Gwen DEFINITELY was a bombshell and Megan fits that bill, too.

She definitely sang and danced quite well in the "How to Succeed in Business" Broadway revival. If you met her in person, you'll also see that she's in swell shape.

Megan would be perfect for Gooch or Vera or even Mame.
She'd be a hysterical Dolly.
And I'd love to see her do a role like Miss Hannigan.
She's very talented and I'm sure Broadway will be welcoming her back any day now. I know I'll be happy to see her.
(But she's no Lola.)
