Megan & Soshana in Wicked LA?

If this has been discussed, I apologize. I did a search and can't find the answer.

I saw the production in NYC 2 weeks ago. I hate to say that the current leads are better than OBC. I heard a rumor that Megan and Shoshana are leaving the cast in December. Is it true they're heading to the LA production of Wicked?

I don't think so. I thought Shoshana had her musical theatre bags packed and ready to leave "for good."

Megan's contract isn't over in December, she lives in May I believe. And Shoshana is leaving in January.

Shoshana has expressed interest in coming to L.A. to work on her future as a recording artist, but I haven't heard about her continuing with Wicked. Where did you hear this rumor?

Oh well..I guess that's why it's a rumor. Heard the groupies talking about it during intermission and after the show 2 weeks ago. Wow, I didn't realize how big the followings have gotten. It deserves the big fan base.
The LA production was announced in PBOL, if I am not mistaken. No dates and venue announced. They just mentioned possibly 2006.

I highly doubt that Shoshana will be putting on the green makeup and black dress after January 8th. She's ready to finish up her run here in New York and move on to new projects.

And like someone else said, Megan's contract is up in late May.

Isn't it weird that Sho is going from starring in a hit Broadway musical to being a starving artist in LA! I can see it now, I'll be out there eating at a Denny's and have Sho as my waitress!

Please, no Sho here in LA. I might want to see the the production again, but not with her in the lead. I know many folks like here, I am just not fond of her in the role. She has a great voice, I just don't want to pay 100 dollars to see her in this.

i seriously doubt shoshana will be starving in LA. she made A LOT of money on Wicked and i am sure has stashed plenty away..PLUS the appearances she is making pay pretty well too. i have a feeling she will be fine and not waitressing!!

Dame, I apologize. I think I read it somewhere else bec. I tried to search PBOL. Let me find out where I saw that. I know it's an article about the big demand for the Chicago production hence the sit-down production and that it may be done in LA.

True, I forgot she'd probably save half her money. So I guess she'll be able to live off that for some time, although studio time & living expenses are pretty expensive in la

There was a discussion thread a while back about a rumor of LA getting a sit-down discussion. I think it was based upon individuals either in or close to the Tour and the BW production.
