While watching an episode of Saved By the Bell on DVD, I was listening to the commentary. In one of the scenes with Melody Rogers, Zack's mom, they said she was a talented dancer and that she was in the Chorus Line...and I thought they said it was on Broadway. However, when I did a search on IBDB, there isn't even a record of her. There wasn't even a "Melody" listed as being in a Chorus Line. Does anyone know anything about this?
She played Val at one point, I believe, during the original run.
EDIT: Or was it Judy? It's been so long, I can't remember... but she WAS in the show on Broadway. I do remember that.
And it's not unusual for something like this to fly under the radar of IBDb.com. I have found MANY holes in their lisitngs, particularly with replacement cast members.

She also played Kathy (the Tick-Tock girl)in the Chicago premiere of COMPANY in 1972. And she was co-host of "The Abe Gibron Show" - a weekly TV show with the coach of the Chicago Bears.
SBTB had TONS of Broadway folk as guest stars.
Gary Beach played the slimy class ring salesman.

OK, that's the only other one that comes to mind.
There is no list of Melody Rogers on the ACL "family" website either.
I think Lynne Wintersteller (GRAND NIGHT FOR SINGING) as also a guest on "Saved by the Bell." But I'm not sure they exactly sought out B'way people. Perhaps Ms. Roger's AEA name was/is different than her SAG name?!?!?
To my knowledge, the ACL official family website is self-reported and moderated. And I agree that IBDB sometimes doesn't list, or has confusing, replacement info. They may rely on producers to supply the information, which might be hit or miss.
I think you are right TxTwoStep, she must have a differnt AEA name. The family site is quite thorough in regards to the Broadway players.
Anyone care to share the link to the ACL "family" site? I am VERY curious now
Here ya go.

That website is so cool!
Yeah, it is a great way for all of us to stay in touch and check up from time to time. There is also a lot of wonderful information on there as well.

Carol Lawrence played a teacher for two seasons
Ernie Sabella was on for a season
If any of you have access to the news footage video shot for A Chorus Line when Bennett came in and staged the special record-breaking performance, where all the previous Broadway actors returned to take part in it, you can see Melody Rogers interviewed about trying to remember the opening number. It's been too long and I don't know what her name was when she did the show, but it was "Melody Rogers" at the time of the interview. She was fairly well known, at least to NY, back then.
Singingbackup beat me to it...Ernie Sabellas played Leah Ramini's(sp?) dad and the gangs boss. I just recently re watched that season...ahh the memories!
