Memphis 9/1 Show Stopped.

I got a text from a friend in NY seeing "Memphis." She said there's a 15 minute technical delay. I'm not sure why though. Hope it gets worked out!

I saw Memphis on 7/21 (The evening show) and it stopped for about 15 minutes in the middle of Act 1 for 'technical issues' which we later found out was some lighting problems...

I don't know if this could be a similar problem they experienced today?

They were attempting to fix the score and book, but decided it was a lost cause.

All of you. STOP IT RIGHT NOW. Don't you know that once a show wins a Tony Award, you're not allowed to make fun of it? Or did you learn nothing from "Hockadoo! The Memphis Love Thread"?

When I saw it last January the show stopped right at the top of "Memphis Lives in Me" because the sound wasn't working at all. I felt bad for Chad.

Crazy stuff - i guess thats live theatre for ya.

Memphis haters: was the show groundbreaking? no. But was it entertaining? yes (that is if your not a snob). I'm convinced that people love-to-hate the show JUST because it won the tony and it's actually selling tickets. To each his own, but i just dont get all the hate.

PS - i do have to admit that i LOL'ed at the Chad Kimball night off joke... but he was on tonight and the fans sang happy birthday for him at the stage door.
